Through Acquisition, Home Health Depot Adds Retail Location

Home medical equipment provider Home Health Depot announced earlier this month the acquisition of Medical Mobility, a medical equipment company based in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The acquisition will result in the relocation of Medical Mobility’s retail store from Northbrook Village to Ft. Wayne, and will aid Home Health Depot streamlining the contact process for patients and referral sources.

“As a result of the Medical Mobility acquisition, we are now able to offer our patients and referral sources a single point of contact for all of their home medical equipment needs,” said Nathan Feltman, Home Health Depot president. “Our local team is able to assist patients with their respiratory and sleep equipment needs, complex rehabilitation mobility equipment and adaptive equipment in their homes in order that they may live safely at home. The addition of our new retail showroom offers our patients the convenience of working with one company for all of their medical equipment needs.”

The acquisition marks the third for Home Health Depot this year. The company acquired a majority interest in Advanced Rehab Technologies, LLC, the largest provider of complex rehabilitation equipment in Iowa in February, and the assets of RCS Management Corporation’s in-home respiratory and sleep therapy assets in April.

“We have been fortunate to find three organizations this year that share our philosophy of “’The patient comes first,'” CEO David Hartley said. “As a result of our acquisitions this year, we have further committed our company to providing the highest level of customer care and responsiveness to the patients we serve.”
