Medistar Home Health, a national Medicare-certified home health agency, recently joined UnitedHealthcare’s care provider network, the companies announced Monday.
The partnership gives Lousiana residents enrolled in UnitedHealthcare’s employer-sponsored, MedicareDirect and Evercare/Secure Horizons Medicare Advantage health plans access to care provided by Medistar.
“We are delighted to join UnitedHealthcare’s care provider network and to welcome their plan participants,” said Gina Creel, COO of Medistar, in a statement. “UnitedHealthcare’s addition of Medistar is a testament to our years of experience, advanced point-of-care EMR, and consistently top-ranked quality patient care.”
UnitedHealthcare currently has about 620,000 members enrolled in its Louisiana health plans with a care provider network of nearly 8,000 doctors and 160 hospitals.
