Inc. Magazine Names Eight Home Care Agencies as Fastest-Growing Companies

Eight home care agencies have been recognized as some of the fastest-growing companies in the country, according to Inc. magazine’s 32nd annual Inc. 5000 list.

Ranking companies by a three-year growth rate, this year’s Inc. 5000 list acknowledged home care agencies in California, Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Ohio and Pennsylvania.

Mishle Home Care, based in Glen Ellyn, IL, ranked #576 on the list. In three years, the company grew revenue by 786% from $302,676 in 2009 to $2.7 million in 2012.

Jackson, Michigan-based Great Lakes Home Health & Hospice ranked #2578 out of the 5,000 companies comprising Inc.’s list. Founded in 1994, the company experienced a growth spurt of 137% from 2009 to 2012, when it reported revenue of $111.6 million.

Representing the west coast is Home Care Assistance, a firm that provides home health care for seniors across the U.S. and Canada. Headquartered in Palo Alto, CA, the company ranks #3043 on the list for its 110% three-year growth rate from 2009 to 2012. As revenue jumped to $62.7 million in that time frame, the company also added 1,350 jobs to accommodate its growth pace.

With only 167 employees, Buckeye Home Health Care of Dayton, OH, made the cut, ranking at #3237 with a 100% three-year revenue boost from $3.1 million in 2009 to $6.2 million in 2012.

Missouri had two home care agencies from St. Louis to make the 2013 list with Veterans Home Care (#3389) and Seniors Home Care (#3494).

Veterans Home Care posted three-year revenue growth of 92% to $18.5 million in 2012, while Seniors Home Care grew 88% to record a 2012 revenue of $3.2 million.

Minnesota’s Accurate Home Care, based in Otsego, added 504 jobs in the past three years to accommodate its 78% growth. A provider of in-home healthcare to individuals with chronic and acute diseases, Accurate Home Care reported a 2012 revenue of $42 million.

Ranking in at #4813, Griswold Home Care of Erdenheim, PA, experienced a revenue boost of 40% in the last three years to $12.2 million, up from $8.7 million in 2009.
