Sinfonia Healthcare Corp Launches Home Health Services in Virginia

Arizona-based home health company Sinfonia Healthcare Corporation (NASDAQ:PRSC) is launching operations beyond the Grand Canyon state into Virginia.

Sinfonía announced its newest home health operation, Sinfonía Family Services of Virginia, Inc,. on Wednesday. The Farmville, Va.-based operator will offer services statewide, including home-based and school-based counseling, substance abuse treatment, medical services for the mentally ill, skilled nursing care, hospice and companion care.

PRSC was launched by former Providence Service Corporation (Nasdaq:PRSC) founder and CEO Fletcher McCusker.

Glenn Fowlkes — formally with Family Preservation Services (FBS) prior to Providence acquiring FPS in 1997 — will serve as president of Sinfonía Family Services of Virginia.

“We are thrilled to have our old friend Glenn Fowlkes join us again in Virginia,” McCusker said in a news release. “This is actually the same route of expansion we enjoyed in our predecessor company: build a base in Tucson, then expand to the east coast via Virginia.”

Fowlkes looks forward to working with past colleagues to launch the PRSC’s latest branch.

“Together we built an extraordinary business and now with the new medical programs provided by Sinfonía, I believe we will rapidly become the provider of choice in my region,” he said.
