The Ensign Group Adds Denver Hospice to Growing Portfolio

The Ensign Group (NASDAQ: ENSG), a western U.S. provider of a variety of senior care services, is expanding its home health care presence with the acquisition of a Colorado hospice company.

The Mission Viejo, California-based company announced Tuesday that is has acquired Namaste Hospice located in Denver. While the transaction terms were not disclosed, the hospice acquisition further expands The Ensign Group’s servicing offerings across the continuum of post-acute care, said Ensign’s President and CEO Christopher Christensen in a written statement.

“Expanding our presence in the Denver area to include hospice, in addition to our skilled nursing, assisted living, and home health operations, fits neatly within our plan for strategic growth,” stated Christensen. “We look forward to increasing our ability to serve the post-acute care needs of the Denver community.”
