Emmy Award Winner Becomes Spokeswoman for Home Care Company

A prime time celebrity is partnering with a home care company to become its official spokesperson, and relating to clients through her personal experience with Alzheimer’s disease.

American talk show host and Emmy Award winner Leeza Gibbons is the official spokesperson of Senior Helpers, and will also help invest in Senior Helpers franchises.

The national franchise offers companion care, assistance with activities of daily living, live-in care, respite care and other home care services.

“This kind of care means the world to families like mine,” says Gibbons in a written statement. “My mother and grandmother’s struggle with Alzheimer’s disease showed us how much we needed help to get through it.”

This backing by Gibbons comes on the heels of an investment in Senior Helpers in 2012 by Levine Leichtman Capital Partners, a private equity fund.

“Through Leeza’s investment in a Senior Helpers franchised business, she continues her life mission of guiding families who are struggling to care for loved ones with a memory disorder or chronic illness and leading them in the right direction,” says Peter Ross, CEO of Baltimore-based Senior Helpers.
