AAHomecare Unveils New App, ‘Nerve-Center’ for News

The American Association for Homecare (AAHomecare) recently unveiled the AAHomecare app, the latest in a stream of initiatives designed to modernize its communications platforms.

The AAHomecare App will act as a “nerve-center” for all home medical equipment (HME) news, the company says.

The app will provide AAHomecare breaking news and member alerts, combined with the latest from HME Business News, HME News, Homecare Magazine and Mobility Management in one feed, 24 hours a day, on users’ smartphones.

“Over the last four months, I’ve gotten a lot of smart feedback about what kind of information our members would like to receive from AAHomecare, and how and when they want to receive it,” said Beth Ludwick, AAHomecare senior director of communications, in a written statement. “I designed this app to give users access to breaking news when it happens, not just from AAHomecare, but from the top industry publications that are covering HME issues.”

The interactive AAHomecare app will feature a group chat wall allowing users to post messages and questions. The app will also feature a section covering AAHomecare’s Twitter activity.

“This feature was a must for AAHomecare, because facilitating peer-to-peer networking and acting as a forum for knowledge sharing is a core component of the Association’s value,” the company says, adding that the group chat feature of the app will serve as a digital opportunity to replicate some of the in–person networking that happens at AAHomecare events.
