Last week, we clued you in to the news that an overhaul of the Medicare payment model could be coming down the pike in the near future, with an unwelcome provision for home health care—the Home Health Groupings Model. The model is a “substantive threat to many providers,” said April Anthony, CEO of Encompass Home Health.

We also covered an update on a senior care program from Johns Hopkins that tackles improvements in the home environment. And the program has a big payoff; for every $3,000 spent on a person in the program, Medicare saves $10,000.
