Last week, we kept you in the know about how the home health industry was responding to the news that the Home Health Groupings Model (HHGM), as proposed by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), could become a reality.

Amedisys CEO Paul Kusserow had this to say about the proposal during the company’s second quarter earnings call: “It ain’t over ’til it’s over.”

April Anthony, CEO of Encompass Home Health and Hospice, also raised concerns about the proposed model, predicting that some home health agencies would see negative margins if it were implemented.
