Medical Staffing Network Sells Home Care Division

Medical Staffing Network Healthcare today announced it has sold its home health care division to Dallas-based Epic Health Services. Boca Raton, Florida-based healthcare workforce provider MSN said the sale is part of its strategic plan to focus on its core businesses of providing services to acute and non-acute health care organizations.

“The sale of MSN HomeCare enables our company to make further investments in the innovative workforce management solutions that MSN has become known for,” said Chairman and CEO Bob Bunker. “Our clients need a strategic partner that understands the dynamics of the workplace, has an understanding of labor management and workforce optimization, and can provide real solutions that lower costs.”

Epic Health Services, is the largest provider in Texas of private duty nursing services for medically-fragile children, as well as a provider or pediatric therapy services and private duty nursing services for adults faced with chronic illnesses or catastrophic injuries. Through the acquisition, it will acquire clinicians and client service staff.

Nexus Health Capital was the exclusive investment banking advisor to MSN in the transaction.
