MMRGlobal to Provide Personal Health Record Card to 50,000 In-Home Health Patients

MMRGlobal announced agreements with VIDA Senior Resource to sell its patented personal health record (PHR) card and services to more than 50,000 patients of VIDA Senior Resource, Assisted Transition and Senior Helpers.

Based in Boise, Idaho, VIDA provides senior home care services nationwide through a network of certified owned and operated agencies. As a result of using the cards, VIDA is able to securely set up and track a personal health record service from clients homes.

VIDA has more than 6,000 non-medical, visiting Senior Helpers who will offer a private branded version of the Company’s Prepaid Personal Health Record card to more than 35,000 patients in their homes.

“We are most excited about the opportunity with VIDA because, for the first time, we will see a PHR activated and maintained as part of the regular job description of the Senior Helper at no additional cost,” said Bob Lorsch, Chairman and CEO of MMRGlobal.

To ensure that every VIDA patient can use the PHR as often as necessary, MMR will provide a fax machine in the subscriber’s home, where needed, as part of the $19.95 per month or $200.00 per year service offering.

“One of the challenges in managing a senior care services organization is not only to provide the best of care to the patient but also to provide the best communication to the family and treating physicians,” said Glen Amador, CEO of VIDA Senior Resource, Inc. “MMR’s Personal Health Record is designed to ensure communication among all parties in the senior care loop by sending a copy of any record added to an account to the senior’s family members and physicians as updates are made. The system will also manage scheduling of appointments and prescription reminders while warning against potentially dangerous drug interactions.”
