Advocate Partners With Merge Health for Instant Cardiac Remote Imaging Service

Advocate Health Care announced a partnership Sunday with Merge Healthcare to provide physicians instant access to cardiac imaging and informatics solutions.

Oak Brook, Illinois-based Advocate runs one of the largest Chicago-area home health systems, as well as a national health system network. The company says the partnership was formed in an effort to improve workflow and enhance patient care.

As a cardiologist, I need to have immediate access to a patient’s complete cardiology record to ensure I make the most informed medical decisions,” said Dr. Vincent Bufalino, Advocate Health Care. “With Merge’s solutions, I can see cardiology images wherever I am – whether I’m at the hospital, in my office, or even at a remote location. Having this type of access is immensely beneficial.”

The technology allows doctors to access cardiology files from a single point, as well as generate a report and distribute that report in a single session—even from an off-site location. Additionally, the technology integrates with electronic medical records, further streamlining the process.
