Wisconsin-based Ministry Home Care Plus, which delivers medical equipment, respiratory therapy services and IV therapies to patients in their homes, has recently expanded with two new retail locations, reports the Wisconsin Rapids Tribune.
The newly-opened stores are located in Marshfield and Stevens Point, Wisc., and sell a wide range of medical equipment for both young and old patients, and everywhere in between.
Although Ministry Home Care Plus customers previously could order many of these products, staff members obviously couldn’t bring all the equipment choices into a person’s home to demonstrate them, said Paul Harbaugh, director of home medical equipment and respiratory services. The store offers a larger inventory and the chance to try out the products, Harbaugh said.
The staff is expected to grow, particularly as the store offers more supportive home care services, such as helping patients manage medications and perform daily tasks such as bathing, [said Ministry Home Care Plus president and CEO Jerry ] Cleveland.
The organization plans to add more stores in the next couple years, according to its CEO.
