What’s the Median Salary for a Home Health Aid? Not Much

A new info graphic published by the U.S. News University Directory provides data on the salaries of those who choose to work in the Allied health professions.

Such careers prepare those to work in clinical healthcare professions outside the core fields of dentistry, medicine and nursing. These occupations include biomedical science, medical transcription, pharmacy, radiologic technology and several others.

Research from the University of California shows that allied health workers comprise more than 60% of the total healthcare workforce. One of the careers in the info graphic shows the median and top pay for home health aides which is $20,170 and $29,390 respectively.
