Canadian Home Care Franchise Launches First U.S. Location, Plans for 25 More

In an effort to expand to the U.S. home care market, Canadian home health franchise, Nurse Next Door, opened its first U.S. location in Mission Viejo, Calif., last week.

The franchise currently has more than 50 locations in North America and has its eyes on further U.S. home health market expansion as it expects to add 25 locations in the next year. Nurse Next Door has already reached agreements for seven additional U.S. locations.

Nurse Next Door has established three “pillars of care” that each represent a different level of care provided to patients. The pillars, Taking Care, Enriched Care, and Vital Care, provide care ranging from attentive visits and housekeeping to daily or live-in care.

Tony Uzzi, former nurse and pharmaceutical company executive is the owner of the new location and agrees with the company’s core values of admiring people and being passionate about making a difference.
