Home health agency CareSouth, based in Augusta Georgia, this week announced it has acquired Alliance Care to expand its services throughout Florida, and boosting job creation in Georgia. The acquisition includes 500 employees from Alliance Care, essentially doubling the company’s workforce, according to a report from the Augusta Chronicle.
The acquisition will lead to new management positions as well as jobs in IT, clinical services, human resources, graphic arts and other areas of the business located in Augusta. Additional hires are also expected.
“Our solid financial position allows us to take an aggressive approach to growth through development, partnerships and acquisitions,” said Rick Griffin, CareSouth CEO and President. “Naturally, when we grow our markets across the country, our support services will also grow, meaning more jobs here in the Augusta community.”
CareSouth has taken over Alliance Care operations and is now in Florida markets including Bethesda, Boynton Beach, Bradenton, Dundee, Ft. Lauderdale, Jacksonville, Largo, Ormond Beach, Sarasota, Tampa and West Palm Beach.
