Home care provider CareSouth Home Care Professionals of Campbell Calif., announced last week a plan to take on the name of its partner company, Professional Healthcare at Home, in an effort to solidify a common name for the care providers serving the San Jose, Calif. area.  

CareSouth’s Campbell location, as well as four other California locations, have operated as subsidiaries of Kindred Healthcare, Inc. since 2011. The company also operates home health agencies in seven states outside of California. 

“We decided to change our name to Professional Healthcare at Home in order to create a common identity for the home health locations in this part of the state and to become a more effective, streamlined organization,” said Rebecca Boodt, director of operations of Professional Healthcare at Home in Campbell.

Professional Healthcare at Home provides home care services including skilled nursing, rehabilitative therapy and non-medical private duty care to the northern California area. The company has been established for more than 20 years and is a subsidiary of PeopleFirst Homecare and Hospice.
