Home health agencies are planning to invest most in marketing and training of their staff in 2013 according to results from a survey published by Home Health Line.
Consisting of responses from 159 home health care agencies, 52.2% said they planned to invest most of their money on education and training, with another 37.1% saying it would go to sales and marketing.
As far as what specific types of training, ICD-10 training for coders and clinicians was the top category, with 74.7% saying they planned to increase their spending. ICD-10 codes for diseases, signs and symptoms of patients.
