Infinity Healthcare LLC, a New Jersey-based home health services provider, was forced to cease operations following an investigation revealing its employees lacked certification to practice as home health aides.
Conducted in part by the Attorney General and the state Division of Consumer Affairs (DCA) in March 2012, the investigation found numerous violations against the Somers Point, NJ company and its employees.
Infinity allegedly failed to include various employee certification information as required under the state’s Administrative Code (N.J.A.C), such as license types, numbers and expiration dates to determine workers’ history and areas of experience.
Infinity’s former President and CEO Jerome Kurmas, signed a consent order in December. Under the document, Kurmas relinquished his license and ability to own or manage any business in New Jersey that operates as a health care services firm or provides health care services.
Established May 22, 1997 Infinity Healthcare closed its doors September 10 of last year following the investigation by the Attorney General.
