LHC Group Inc. (NASDAQ: LHCG) continues its strategy of acquiring hospice providers within the company’s home health market with another acquisition.
LHC announced that it has acquired the assets of Infirmary Hospice Care in Mobile, Alabama.
Current annual revenue for the agency is approximately $2.5 million and will continue to operate under the Infirmary name throughout the remainder of 2013 and serve the Mobile and Baldwin counties, said LHC.
The acquisition of Infirmary is the latest from LHC, who in February entered into an agreement to acquire the home health service line of Addus HomeCare Corp. in a deal that encompassed 19 home health agencies and two hospice companies.
With the acquisition of Infirmary, LHC brings its total of hospice locations to 34 across ten states.
LHC Group did not disclose the purchase price for its acquisition of Infirmary Hospice Care.
