Home health equipment providers are bracing for the impact of Medicare competitive bidding rules slated to go into effect July 1, according to an ABC local news segment airing in South Carolina. 

One provider tells ABC her company is inundated with requests from patients who are aware of the change ahead and are trying to ensure their needs will be met once the rules change—meaning that some patients will be more than 100 miles from an eligible provider.
