Mediware Acquires Fastrack Healthcare Systems

Mediware Information Systems, Inc. announced on Tuesday the acquisition of Fastrack Healthcare Systems, Inc., a home medical equipment and home infusion therapy software solutions company.

Through the transaction, Mediware gained more than 300 new customers along with Fastrack’s expertise, products, services, and contracts.

The Lenexa, Kan.-based software solutions provider plans to combine the Fastrack business with its existing Alternate Care Solutions business line. Mediware has operated in the HME, home infusion therapy, and home health nursing software sector by building a portfolio of home care solutions through a series of acquisitions that began in 2008.

Neither company disclosed the financial terms of the acquisition.
