Home Care Institute Adopts New Home Health Training Tool

Home Care Institute, a provider of educational training for the home health and hospice industries, recently implemented NetDimensions’ platform for training courses in areas such as compliance, leadership, regulation, and disease management.

NetDimensions (AIM:NETD) is a global provider of performance, knowledge, and learning solutions, and HCI has installed its Talent Suite for its new learning management system (LMS).

“Our former LMS vendor had gone through two major mergers in the last two years. We were extremely dissatisfied with their platform and service,“ explained Lu Post, President and Founder of HCI, in a statement. “We were struggling with issues surrounding user integration with the platform, reporting, accuracy in tracking, significant system downtime, and lack of customer service responsiveness.”

HCI’s “considerable growth” escalated the former platform’s inefficiencies, Post said, which led to stress on its support resources and client dissatisfaction.

The NetDimensions Talent Suite effectively supports HCI’s extended enterprise business model as it allows client organizations to have their own learning portal through which they can access training courses relevant to the needs of their members.

“We decided to partner with NetDimensions because their product has all the learning features that we need,” said Post. “The permissions-based functionality allows efficient management of multiple client organizations, but still enables us to maintain a central catalog of content. Our clients can also create user accounts easily.”

Within six months of implementing the new platform, Post says HCI was already able to appreciate how the new system resolved issues the company had experienced with its previous platform.

“This resulted in significant reduction of our internal client support needs, an improved user integration process, and a much more stable platform,” she said.
