CellTrak Gains Additional Support as Point of Care Technology

CellTrak Technologies, Inc. continues to gain steam in the home health industry for its point of care technology, as another provider just recently announced its adaptation of CellTrak’s mobile solutions. 

Ambercare, a New Mexico-based provider of home health, hospice and medical equipment supplies, announced Wednesday that is has chosen CellTrak’s VisitManager technology to use across its entire organization.

For several years, Ambercare had been using Suncoast Solutions as their electronic health record. CellTrak has offered a seamless integration with Suncoast, enabling Ambercare to simplify and lower mileage reimbursement, obtain better staff accountability and ensure safety of staff.

CellTrak was originally implanted for the company’s home health aides, but has now rolled out to their field coordinators and clinical liaisons. 

“We are successfully running visits, utilizing our staff’s time better all while documenting at the point of care,” said Michael Merrell, COO at Ambercare. “We have embraced this technology to better utilize resources and serve our patients to accommodate their ever-changing needs.”

In addition to the integrated visit verification features of the solution, the GPS features available as part of CellTrak helps to remove the “guess work” out of calculating mileage. GPS tracks the milage to and from each patient’s home and immediately stories it in the system. The technology also allows staff members to get directions to a patient’s home.

Ambercare is the latest in a string of home health and hospice providers in places like New York, Texas and Colorado who have adopted the CellTrak technology as a mobile solution for their on-the-go caregivers.
