Chicago Home Care Franchise Sees Opportunity to Go National

A Chicago-based home care franchise is gearing up to expand beyond the state’s borders given the demographic shift ahead that will lead to more older Americans relaying on in-home care.

In Home Personal Services announced the growth initiative this week, noting the impending wave of baby boomers who are reaching retirement.

“We have found that more people want to stay in their own homes rather than move into an assisted living or nursing facility as they age,” said Michael Collura, president of In Home Personal Services. “Since 2002, we have dedicated ourselves to providing the best services by hiring and screening our home services workers to meet the demand, and as the senior population increases we are gearing up by adding franchise opportunities, staffing and services tailored to the expanding needs of today’s seniors.”

The company’s caregivers offer ongoing care and post-acute care, though no medical services. The company offers flat rates for services rather than daily or hourly minimums and does not require long term contracts.

“Our qualified caregivers ensure that seniors have the help they need with such things as bathing, dressing, reminders to take their medication, shopping, and meal preparation while remaining in their homes,” Collura said.
