Greystone Follows Florida Home Health Buy with Skilled Nursing Acquisition

Following its acquisition of a Tampa-area home health agency last month, Greystone Healthcare Management Corp. is expanding its presence in the Sunshine State with the purchase of a skilled-nursing facility (SNF) in Melbourne, Florida.

Greystone, which manages healthcare facilities and home health agencies in Florida and Ohio, Monday announced the acquisition of Wuesthoff Progressive Care Center, a company headquartered in Viera, FL.

The facility, which has been renamed Viera Health and Rehabilitation Center, is a 114-bed SNF that serves the healthcare needs of greater Melbourne and the surrounding areas.

Totaling 51,000-square-feet, the Viera Health facility provides sub-actute care and extensive rehabilitation as well as skilled nursing care in both short-term and long-term care settings.

The acquisition further solidifies Greystone’s relationship with the Wuesthoff Hospital System and the company’s position in the Brevard County market, stated Greystone Healthcare Management CEO Connie Bessler.

“Greystone is thrilled to bring our commitment to exceeding expectations, high standards for compassionate care, and drive for thoughtful innovation to the Melbourne area,” Bessler stated.
