One of the biggest trends in home health care is the use of data analytics and sharing that data to improve patient care.
But while it’s an important trend, it is also the most misunderstood, Dr. Michael Fleming, former chief medical officer of Amedisys, Inc. (Nasdaq:AMED), tells HHCN in this week’s podcast. Amedisys is a Louisiana-based home health agency that serves about 360,000 patients each year.
Fleming is also a past president of the American Academy of Family Physicians. Currently, he serves on the advisory board of Nashville-based healthcare technology company Medalogix.
