Monday’s Must-Read News: CEOs React to Groupings Model

Happy Monday, Home Health Care News readers. Start your week off with our weekly roundup and catch up on all things home health and home care.

Last week, we kept you in the know about how the home health industry was responding to the news that the Home Health Groupings Model (HHGM), as proposed by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), could become a reality.

April Anthony, CEO of Encompass Home Health and Hospice, also raised concerns about the proposed model, predicting that some home health agencies would see negative margins if it were implemented.

For those of you who read our weekly briefing last week, we have good news to share. Diablo, the tortoise that had gone missing from a New Mexico senior living community was found and returned to his beloved home among the residents.

We’re also sharing with you a close-up narrative of home health care aide Priscilla Smith, who has worked as a CNA for the last five years and earns less than $20,000 per year. Read her story here.
