Bachleda Resigns from Addus Board of Directors

Simon A. Bachleda has resigned from the board of directors of Addus HomeCare Corporation (Nasdaq: ADUS), a Downers Grove, Ill.-based provider of in-home and home health care services.

Bachleda announced his resignation on October 19. He indicated his decision was based on a desire to focus more on his responsibilities as co-founder and managing partner of Revelstoke Capital Partners, a Denver-based private equity firm.

Prior to his resignation, Bachleda served as a member of the board’s audit and compensation committees. The board has elected to not immediately fill his vacancy.

Remedy Partners Appoints Howard to Senior Vice President Role

Remedy Partners, a Darien, Conn.-based provider of bundled payment care plans, has hired Chip Howard as senior vice president of partner services.

He has decades of experience with leading payer organizations. Under Howard’s leadership, Remedy’s partner services team enables providers to use its suite of tools, resources and capabilities to improve quality of care and cost effectiveness.

Howard previously served as vice president and payment innovations leader in the Provider Development Center of Excellence at national health insurance provider Humana. In this role, he was responsible for advancing its accountable care continuum, including Humana’s primary care and bundled payment programs. Howard also served as director of accountable care organizations at insurance provider WellPoint and director of value-based program reimbursement at the Blue Cross Blue Shield brand, Florida Blue.

Brightree Selects Robert Dean to Lead Home Health & Hospice Division

Atlanta-based Brightree, a provider of cloud-based software for the post-acute care sector, has appointed Robert “Bob” Dean as vice president and general manager of its Home Health & Hospice Division, effective October 2.

Dean is responsible for expanding Brightree’s product offerings, customer base and market position for the company’s electronic medical record (EMR) solution.

He brings extensive experience in sales in the operational and healthcare industries to his new role, having previously held the position of vice president and general manager of McKesson’s Extended Care Solutions Group, a provider of clinical management software. Under Dean’s leadership, McKesson implemented several new sales and operational initiatives.

Schmidt Steps Up to VP Role for HomeCare Connect

HomeCare Connect, a Winter Park, Fla.-based provider of home health medical equipment and supplies, has named Bob Schmidt as national vice president of sales management.

Schmidt directs the company’s national sales programs and leads its sales force. He has more than 25 years’ experience in managed care, with much of it in workers’ compensation.

Most recently, Schmidt was an account executive for Exam Works Clinical Solutions, a provider of case management, pharmaceutical and complex claims management services. Previously, he worked for national health care company Concentra for 14 years, ultimately ending up in national sales for disability accounts.
