The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid is eliminating hundreds of data elements for the Outcome and Assessment Information Set (OASIS) and dropping others, the agency revealed in its home health prospective payment system (PPS) 2018 update. CMS finalized 33 item changes, which will come into effect beginning Jan. 1, 2019.
