Regent Acquires Loving Touch Home Care
Regent Healthcare — one of the largest, non-franchised home care agencies in central Maryland — has completed its acquisition of Loving Touch Home Care. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Odenton, Maryland-based Regent Healthcare is a Joint Commission-accredited home care agency that provides in-home companionship, personal care and skilled nursing services. Regent Healthcare provides services to both private pay and Medicaid-eligible clients across roughly a dozen Maryland counties.
Loving Touch — which also operates Maryland — provides many of the same services as Regent Healthcare, while also offering Alzheimer’s and dementia care, businesses lines that many home care agencies have targeted of late.
Among its strategic advantages, the acquisition will allow Regent Healthcare to establish a local presence in Chestertown.
Regent Healthcare currently employs more than 50 staff members, according to the company.
“Regent is committed to establishing a local presence in the communities we serve, and we are excited to now have a location in Chestertow,” Regent Healthcare President and CEO Felton Magee said in a statement. “With this acquisition, we are now positioned to meet the rising need for in-home personal, companion and skilled nursing care on Maryland’s Eastern Shore, as well as create new job opportunities in the region.”

Its private equity backer, Boyne Capital, specializes in providing capital necessary to fund corporate growth and facilitate partial or full exit.
Advanced Nursing Solutions specializes in providing care for children with high degrees of medical need. Its combined business with Sonas will create one of the largest pediatric home-care providers in Florida.
“The acquisition of Advanced Nursing further propels Sonas as a leading provider of home care to the pediatric population in Florida,” Adam Herman, partner and COO of Boyne Capital, said in a statement. “Sonas maintains a sizable network of care providers with both an extensive geographic reach and a diverse set of skills to meet the needs of underserved communities across the State.”
