LHC Group (Nasdaq: LHCG) announced that Donald D. Stelly, president and chief operating officer, will step down from the role on Dec. 31.

“I sincerely want to thank Keith, the board, and my fellow colleagues for their support and encouragement over the past 14 years at LHC Group,” Stelly said in a statement on Tuesday. “Together, we have built a strong and experienced team with industry leading quality and patient satisfaction scores, and a national in-home healthcare platform.”

“I appreciate Don’s many contributions to the company and look forward to continuing to work with him in this new role,” Myers said in a statement. “We have developed a deep bench and one of the strongest clinical and operational teams in the industry with an average of over 25 years of health care experience across our senior management and divisional leadership team.”

LHC Group and its 32,000 employees deliver home health, hospice, personal care and facility-based services to over 100,000 patients across the U.S.

Throughout the year, LHC Group has made a number of senior management changes.

Earlier this month, the company named former health insurance veteran Mohammad Ali its new chief information officer. Prior to the appointment, Ali served as CIO of international markets for Cigna Inc. (NYSE: CI), where he helped oversee operations in 22 countries.

In July, LHC Group appointed Dr. Tricia Nguyen as its new executive vice president and chief medical officer. Before joining LHC Group, Dr. Nguyen served as managing partner with Perla Health.

The company has also been active on the joint venture (JV) front — a major calling card for the home health, hospice and personal care giant. Currently, LHC Group has more than 350 hospital and health system partners.
