Even before the coronavirus, 2020 was going to be a precarious time for home health providers’ cash flow.
Now, in addition to the Patient-Driven Groupings Model (PDGM), most providers have had to work through a sudden decrease in new admissions and visits triggered by the COVID-19 virus. And while operations are starting to return to normal, some industry insiders actually believe providers may soon see a sudden increase in business, a scenario that could lead to its own unique challenges.
In this latest episode of “Cash Flow Conversations,” Home Health Care News caught up with Beth Prince, vice president of revenue management services for Corridor. In addition to the ups and downs providers are likely to face moving forward, Prince also offered an update on the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ (CMS) decision to suspend its advance payment program.
