Amedisys, DispatchHealth Add New Chief People Officers; Cypress Living Names HCBS VP

Adam Holton joins Amedisys as chief people officer

Amedisys Inc. (Nasdaq: AMED) has named Adam Holton as its new chief people officer. Holton has more than 20 years of experience of relevant experience under his belt.

Baton Rouge, Louisiana-based Amedisys provides home health, hospice and personal care services in 38 states and Washington, D.C.

Before joining Amedisys, Holton was the chief human resources officer at Numotion. Prior to that, he served in the same role at CHS Inc. He has also served in a number of human resources leadership roles at General Electric, USAA and Bank One.

DispatchHealth names MJ Vigil as its chief people officer

DispatchHealth announced that it has appointed MJ Vigil as the company’s new chief people officer, an increasingly popular position.

Originally launched as an in-home urgent care startup, Denver-based DispatchHealth delivers higher-acuity care – including offering hospital-level care – in the home.

Vigil joins DispatchHealth with over 25 years of human resources experience. She also has an ample amount of experience in stakeholder and employee engagement, talent acquisition and business transformation.

Prior to her new appointment, Vigil was chief people officer at Medable Inc. She has held leadership roles at financial services, technology, consumer products and hospitality organizations before that.

Cypress Living promotes executive director to VP of HCBS

Christine Burns, executive director of Cypress at Home, has been promoted to vice president of home- and community-based services (HCBS) for Cypress Living.

Cypress Living is a provider of programs and services meant to secure the health and wellbeing of seniors across Southwest Florida. Cypress Living provides operational support to Cypress at Home, which enables seniors to age in place by delivering in-home services.

As vice president of HCBS, Burns will be responsible for overseeing the overall leadership, direction and growth of the company. Burns will also be in charge of establishing the strategic direction of management services for HCBS within Southwest Florida.

Prior to her role at Cypress at Home, Burns served as the director of post-acute intake and business development at Lee Health.

Mission Healthcare appoints chief clinical officer

Mission Healthcare has hired Mag VanOosten as the company’s new chief clinical officer. In her new role, VanOosten will take the helm of the company’s clinical operations.

VanOosten has decades of experience in home health and hospice and has served in a variety of roles in clinical operations, strategic planning, quality improvement and nursing. Her last role before joining Mission Healthcare was the president and chief clinical officer at UnityPoint at Home.

San Diego, California-based Mission Healthcare is one of the largest regional providers of home health, hospice and palliative care. The company is backed by the Chicago-based PE firm The Vistria Group.

Alvita Care fillsnewly created president role

Alvita Care announced its appointment of Moshe Zaghi to the newly created role of president.

In his new role, Zaghi will be responsible for pushing the company’s operational performance forward and will be in charge of leading growth initiatives.

Prior to joining Alvita Care, Zaghi was the CFO of Optima Dermatology Partners, an Alpine Investors portfolio company.

AlayaCare adds chief product and technology officer

Home-based care technology company AlayaCare has named Andrew McDonald as its chief product and technology officer.

As chief product and technology officer, McDonald will oversee the advancement of the AlayaCare product portfolio. He brings over 20 years of experience to the role.

“The passion for innovation at AlayaCare to create technology that advances the digital transformation of the home care market matches my own ambitions in assuring the best technology and solutions are delivered to provide better outcomes for our customers and their clients,” McDonald said in a press release.

AlayaCare is a software platform and secure cloud-based system that includes clinical documentation, client-and-family portals, remote patient monitoring and mobile caregiver functionality. The company’s platform utilizes artificial intelligence-based predictive models.

AlayaCare serves more than 500 home-based care agencies across the U.S., Canada and Australia.
