Care Advantage Keeps Expanding With Care Perfections Acquisition

Care Advantage has expanded its reach even further into Northern Virginia with the acquisition of in-home care provider Care Perfections Health Services LLC. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The move comes just a week after Care Advantage acquired the Reston, Virginia-based Lighthouse Healthcare Inc., a private-pay personal care company.

Last week, following that deal, Care Advantage CEO Tim Hanold told Home Health Care News that focusing on the highly important, dense area of Northern Virginia is a priority for the home health company.

Care Perfections has offices in Manassas and Warrenton. Acquiring two new locations through the Care Perfections deal is a turn-key way to expand further into new markets, Hanold said.

“The timing of the Care Perfections acquisition is perfect and is a lovely way to close out the year,” Hanold said in a statement. “The addition of a personal care company into our ever-growing brand family has added a lot of excitement among the team. The locations of both offices were a critical component for us. We have been looking in these areas for some time, so to finally get a deal of this caliber over the line is rewarding.”

Richmond, Virginia-based Care Advantage has 38 locations throughout Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, Washington, D.C., and North Carolina.

Care Perfections marks the 19th acquisition Care Advantage has completed since 2018.

Acquisitions will continue to be a big part of the company’s growth strategy. Having a diverse set of providers in-house like adult day, medical home health care and private-pay personal home care is among Care Advantage’s major priorities.

“It’s a really important part of who we are, and we’ve got our eye both on organic and inorganic growth, as well as de novo,” Hanold said last week. “We’re looking at – and executing on – growth across all types of channels.”

Care Advantage has a number of pay-for-performance agreements that are currently on the books and new ones that are coming on board soon. Because of that, it’s important for the company to focus on acquiring organizations that will allow the company to build on its care continuum.

“The vision that Care Advantage holds for our company, coupled with the operational experience, expertise and enthusiasm they bring to the table is both encouraging and exciting in equal measure,” Kwasi Anwomea, president and CEO of Care Perfections Health Services, said in a statement. “Knowing that we see the business through the same lens, and that we are both motivated by a passion to care for others has all the makings of a successful partnership.”
