Care Advantage Names New CEO

William Mayes has been named the new CEO of Care Advantage, Inc., a multi-division health care company that provides skilled clinical care for patients in their homes in 14 agencies across Virginia, The Gleaner reported.

Mayes has more than 30 years of relative healthcare experience, including 20 years of home health care experience. He has spent 15 years in senior management, including in role with HCA, ConvaTec, Amedisys and Senior Home Care. Most recently, he served as executive vice president at Intrepid Healthcare Services, a Dallas-based home health, hospice and private duty services provider with more than 84 branches.

Fazzi Announces Leadership Transition

Tim Ashe, RN, MS, MBA has been promoted to COO of Fazzi Associates, the largest medical coding company serving home health and hospice. Ashe will now be responsible for the firm’s day-to-day leadership.

Ashe joined Fazzi in 2006 and became a partner in 2007. Since that time, he has led the firm’s operational consulting division. More recently, he also assumed responsibility for the company’s outsource billing, finance and information technology divisions.

Ashe’s background includes a blend of clinical, operational, fiscal and academic roles. He is also the co-director of the 2016-2017 National Home Care and Hospice State of the Industry Study.

Founder and Managing Partner Bob Fazzi will remain as Fazzi’s managing partner, but will devote more time to figure investments and national and international community-based care issues, as Ashe takes over day-to-day leadership.

BrightStar Care Colorado Springs Adds Community Development Manager

BrightStar Care Colorado Springs hired Zachary Gatti as its community development manager.

In this role, Gatti will develop relationships with other home care agencies and nursing facilities to send BrightStar clients to them that need further assistance. He will also develop a continuing education program for social workers and discharge planners.

Gatti has more than 10 years of experience in sales and management. Most notably, he was an account manager at Maxim Healthcare, where he directed care for the ongoing needs of more than 200 clients requiring health care services.

Van Dyk Health Care Hires Executive Director of Home Care Program

Van Dyk Health Care, a care provider based in New Jersey, named Nancy Grosso as executive director of its new, emerging home care company, At Home With Van Dyk.

Grasso previously served as a vice president at Accredited Health Services, as well as an executive director for several home care agencies. She has also worked in operations, human resources and marketing for several senior care providers.

At Home With Van Dyk partners with hospitals, skilled nursing and post-acute facilities and assisted living faculties to provide home care. The new service line complements Van Dyk’s other health care services.

HRS Adds New Vice President

Health Recovery Solutions, a remote patient monitoring platform provider based in New York City, added Bill Bassett as vice president.

Bassett will manage the expansion of the organization building program. His experience spans more than 20 years in acute and post-acute health care, analytics, business intelligence and technology organizations, including Procura, Deyta, COS and Bristol-Myers Squibb.

“Since our inception, we have been pushing beyond the conventional wisdom of how to mitigate the causes of rehospitalization using technology,” Jarrett Bauer, CEO of HRS, said in a press release. “Part of our commitment is to enhance our company [with] the brightest leaders, and Bill brings an incredible amount of expertise and outstanding leadership to our team.”

Ingleside Selects New Executive Director for Ingleside at Home

Ingleside, a not-for-profit provider of senior living services in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, selected Lisa Desmond as executive director for Ingleside at Home.

Desmond takes the role after serving as director of home care at Westminster at Lake Ridge, one of three Ingleside campuses that hosted the pilot program for the new service line. She is a registered nurse.

“We are honored to have Lisa continue her leadership for our new program,” Ingleside COO Libby Bush said in a news release. “Lisa’s extensive health care experience made her the ideal person for this role as we expand our vision of creating diverse and engaging opportunities for seniors.”

Ingleside at Home is a new service that aims to provide a wide range of home care options for current residents and seniors in their homes. It will be available at all three Ingleside campuses and the community at large.
