Growing health hospice and home health care company Halcyon Health continued its expansion efforts this month with the acquisition of Valdosta, Georgia-based Grace Hospice.
The transaction marks Halcyon’s first hospice acquisition in South georgia. Based in the southeastern U.S., the company completed its first two acquisitions in 2011 covering more than 40 counties in North Georgia. The recent acquisitions include Hospice of Georgia and Altus Healthcare and Hospice.
“Grace Hospice has an outstanding reputation for providing top quality patient care and customer service,” said Dan Kohl, CEO of Halcyon. “Were delighted that Betty Steedley and Sharon Cunningham, the former owners, will be on board to help us grow the South Georgia territory and honored for the opportunity to continue their top notch level of service.”
Initially, Halcyon will continue to operate under the original Grace Hospice name.
